Hi, I have a problem permanently joining clips together. I want to join three clips together and move them 'en bloc' to another part of the time line. I can join the clips together holding down the shift key but they don't combine permanently into one clip . I want to move the three clips as one combined clip into the library, so that I can reuse it. Later I will want to move the clip into another part of the timeline and work on the conjoined clip in another operation. I did raise this question once before but don't think I made myself entirely clear.
Your help would be appreciated.

I think you can do this 2 ways.
First, put those 3 clips in the timeline and click Share>Create Video File. Now those 3 clips are rendered into 1 clip.
Second, put those 3 clips in the timeline. Save as a project. Open another project and use Insert Media to insert the 3 clip project. It will act like 1 whole clip.

moving clips
if you move the clips into the library one by one and then move them back into the timeline in the same order they will play as" one clip"
when you watch them anyway. ...........Ken

Thanks both for your instant reply. I'll give your suggestions a try and see how I get on. I did try moving them to and from the library, as you suggest Ken., but that didn't work. I want to use them in an overlay initially and that requires that they be conjoined. I'll try your suggestion, Black Lab., and see how that works.
Cheers, Roy.
