I'm not able to figure out the Multi Trim function..
If I open Movie Wizard, then Insert Video, I can import a video file to work on - in my case I am choosing an .avi file.
Then I select the Multi Trim button and the Multi Trim window opens.
Then I play the selected video file and -
Using the F3 / F4 keys I can cut out sections on the fly (VERY cool!) and each clip is entered down into the trimmed timeline video window.
Then I can play all the trimmed cuts back to back - excellent!
Now I want to save all those trimmed clips, ideally as a single video file output.
Next I click on the OK button and nothing happens - the button 'depresses' but that's all.
If I right click on one of the trimmed clips I am presented with two options - Set As Program / Set As Commercial - that's it - and there are no other options to choose.
I can't move back to the Movie Wizard window or anywhere else until I close the Multi Trim window, and then I lose my project (all the trimmed clips).
So what am I doing wrong - what do I need to do to use the Multi Trim function and save it's output? Is the Multi Trim function sensitive to certain types of video files? Seems like it should work on anything?

Hi
After using the Trim-Video function the Movie Wizard adds a template to the clips, producing a movie I suppose. If you like these templates then that¡¦s ok .
Selecting Next should give some options, but the wizard reacts differently, depending on how you accessed the wizard. That is from the Start splash screen or from the Video Editor ¡V Tools option.
You do not say what version of Video Studio you are using.???????
OK
There have been problems using some Studio options, Updating DirectX seems to be the recommended path.

Use the Video Editor
Add your video to the timeline
Then use the Multi Trim option.
When you are satisfied with the clips in the timeline
Share- Create Video File, Same as first clip , will create a new video using the same properties as original
Selecting DVD options to create a Mpeg 2 file suitable for creating a DVD.

did the latest DirectX update - no change
tried initiating the Multi Trim function from all launch points - same result no matter where I start it from.
maybe it's not capable of doing what I want it to, but I wish it would because it's a very fast and easy way to extract clips from a larger video file.
too bad it doesn't work the way it appears that it could.

Hi
Cheers Ken
Nedjinski
Once you have completed the Multi Trim, you hit Ok then the Next button until you are given options.
One is ¡¥create a video file¡¦, or ¡¥return to the editing timeline/project¡¦ where you continue your editing. If you do not see the option to return to the project to complete editing then you have a problem with the wizard or installation of the software.
From the Video Studio Editor you can also create the video file using Share Create video File.
Did you try the Video Studio Editing rather than the Wizard, using the Multi Trim.
