Hi.
Just found this site today- as I am trying to find some answers to my problem.
I am not a professional - just a hobbyist.
I have a laptop a few months old which came pre-loaded with Vista Basic.
I then found that seems my Photoimpact 8 is incompatible with Vista.
(Also use it on an XP Desktop).
It will install and can do some operations but when wanting todo web functions - says there is a component missing.
Also the Help files are not available on the Vista install.
I would appreciate any information as to what I might be able to do..
Many Thanks.
Heather

Welcome to the forums,
Unfortunately PI-X3 (current version) is the only one fully Vista certified. PI-12 required a patch to work on Vista, any earlier versions will not be.
That being said, your options would be:
1. Try installing and running your PI-8 under the compatibility mode for XP.
2. Purchase the current version. PI-8 does not qualify for the upgrade pricing.

[b]Hi..
Thank You for you Welcome.
Many Thanks for your helpful reply.
Even though I am a homebody and don't know a lot about computers - I did try to install in XP compatbility mode on Vista - originally, and it did not work.
Guess I should have checked stuff out - before I bit the bullet and got a Vista/laptop.
Ah well - such is life......
Once again - Many Thanks....
Cheers..
