I am running Video Studio 11.5 on Windows XP Pro SP2. Recently I reinstalled the whole system (on a new HD). Now I have a problem. I am in New Zealand where we use PAL.
When I capture from a DVD the video comes across fine but there is no sound! I have tried variosu sources --professionally made DVD, DVD from a video camera, even DVD recorded from TV, and the result is always the same: great video but no sound track.
What am I doing wrong?
Thank you for your help

To me, it sounds like somehow or other the Dolby codec did not get installed. That is probably the audio format on the DVDs... Can you click on the ? symbol up in the top right of the VS screen and on the new splash screen which appears, see if it includes reference to "Ulead Dolby Digital PowerPack 1.0". If not, then you might need to reinstall VS11 and the relevant update packs of 6 and 8 November 2007.
