Hi..
Not sure why it is happening.
I couldn't preview the avchd movie when capture and use import folder from import digital media section.
Is this happen to you as well?
I capture from import digital media from a dvd but when use import folder to browse and locate avchd folder, it won't play or preview. Furthermore, the progress importing also only 2 seconds only.
Did I do something wrong or do I need to apply a patch as per topic below?

I am sure last time I can preview my avchd.
Is there a possibility that clash with my klite software?

I need to uninstall and reinstall in order to fix this and hopefully doesn't clash with my tv recording software.
If you don't see any more reply it means everything goes smoothly.

okay, I give up already.
It seems that after I uninstall reinstall, it will clash again with my compro tv tuner software DTV4 or driver.
So I can concluded this X2 and Compro DTV4 cannot work in the same PC.
The issue that you might encounter if both at the same PC either:
1. you cannot import AVCHD or preview AVCHD file
2. if you want to edit by mute the sound of your project so your export/create a video file will have no sound at all, your result will be a continues static sound
3. if you use DTV4 software to record your TV, your TV recording result will have on and off sound
I already tried to start from scratch install compro software first or X2 first but once I install both then it will cause either of the issue above.
I use Vista ultimate 32bit but I haven't try with XP yet if I have a spare one to test then I will let you know.
At the moment I stuck with this X2 and I cannot import AVCHD file.
Note: I still can import/capture from DVD though but not AVCHD.

Sorry you have been left alone, talking to yourself, so long!
What camera do you have? Normally the AVCHD ones come with software by the maker which you can use to transfer the AVCHD to your computer. Then you can just open the video in Video Studio, rather than going through Video Studio's own process for importing it. Have you tried that?

Yeah, I am thinking to try that. I've got Canon HG10. I haven't try the free sofware.
I think it comes with a movie factory.
I assume we cannot do much with movie factory and I have a feeling it will clash again.
I will try next time because so tired already re-image from different version to test and to make it work but cannot be resolved.
I need to reimage from the basic and then install dtv 4 software again to see what happen. If it is clash again then I cannot do anything unless put in separate pc.
by the way, is it possible to get FULL refund if I purchase more than 1 month if support cannot fix the issue?

2 Dogs has already answered a much earlier post by you on the same subject, saying that the free software which came with the camera and which you should be using is called Guide Menu:

by the way, is it possible to get FULL refund if I purchase more than 1 month if support cannot fix the issue?
I am sorry, I don't know. None of us here work for Corel, so I don't think anyone will be able to provide an answer.

oh...I think that file is just a backup/transfer the video/file from camera hard disk to the PC as AVCHD file.
I've done that normally anyway so I edit/capture from the backup file not directly to my video camera..
Thanks Ken. I will check with support but I have a felling I won't get any refund since it is working properly without dtv 4 software.

"Capture" is perhaps the wrong word when you have a camera like yours. Once the file is on the computer, you just open it -- you don't have to "capture" anything as it is already there...

Thanks Ken, I though "capture" refer to the Capture button on the top and then use import

sorry, still new on how to descripe the terminology of the function
I've got another few years old pc (free) from my office but the issue is it doesn't have pci-e slot so I cannot put my compro to this pc and if I install X2 to this pc, i think it will be slow when rendering because only use 1.9ghz cpu and 1 gb ram but do able i guess.
what do you think?

I suspect the right word for the older 1.9Ghz pc would be "marginal"....

And anything less than a decent Core 2 Duo processor will not be able to play or edit AVCHD...

oh man... I am stuck again
this 1.9ghz not even dual core
oh well at least I've got free pc
thanks all.
