I would like to know what can be saved from DVD Workshop library and how to do that.
It has become necessary to reinstall my OS (XP) and I was hoping to be able to save all my work, will the fresh install of Workshop recoginze the .DWS files I created or am I going to lose the ability to load my previously created menus and sounds and the images and video clips in the Library.
Any help in this area is appreciated and I am posting similar thread in the MSP forum. thanks!

I would save the following with Winzip and restore them after the new installation has been completed and AFTER the program has been run at least once.
DVD Workshop
C:\Documents and Settings\Stephen\Application Data\Ulead Systems\Ulead DVD Workshop\2.0
MediaStudio 8
C:\Documents and Settings\Stephen\Application Data\Ulead Systems\Ulead MediaStudio Pro\8.0
Replace Stephen with your Windows XP username and also make sure that when you re-install XP you create the same user account name for yourself.
In addition to the above you will need to save copies of any personalised
menus and sounds and the images and video clips in the Library, or any other extra material you have installed.

Okay - actually I am using MSP7 and not 8 but I think I understand your instructions. You want me to back-up the files at the ends of these paths and when the OS has been reinstalled restore them, after I have opened the Ulead programs at least once.
I have .dws, sound, graphics and video files scattered around on several drives, none on the C: drive. I assume that the new installation of Workshop will be able to open the .DWS files and locate the components once I restore the Users files you told me about.
My current installation of XP has been degenerating for some time but recently started to do some strange things like fail to shut down, then the direct sound drivers got corrupted or something and many programs cant play sound or like VideoReDo they simply will not engage at all .
Thanks very much, I did search the help files but couldn't find this info anywhere.
