VS11PLUS and Vista

Just wondering if there's any issues with Vista and VS11+? My version of VS11+ is 11.5.0157.2 Plus. I searched around for a bit and didn't find anything obvious. I'm looking to install on my new HP Pavillion 9000 and I havn't messed around with it that much, but I know there's bound to be issues with vista. Any information or links to patches etc. will be greatly appreciated and will hopefully save me some headaches.

Your version number indicates it already has all the patches available. Many of us have used VS11.5+ with no trouble on Vista. I use it on a Vista Ultimate machine, though originally had it installed on a Vista Home Premium computer, both 32 bit versions.

Just make sure that when you install it on Vista you also install those patches to bring it up the same version you now have on XP.

how do i get the version of my VS? I know it is a stupid question, but I do not have a Help/About menu.

Thanks Ken, SJ, I think I have all the patches I downloaded initially, but it's been a while. These are the downloads I have from before:

UVS11PLUS_E.EXE
UVS11PLUS_E.BONUS.EXE
UVS11PLUS_E_CONTENT.EXE
UVS11_PATCH_ENG.EXE
UVS11_PLUS_ENG_POWERPACK.EXE

Are there any others I'm missing? Any particular order I should install them?

Click the "?" in the top right corner.

Gents,

Just wondering, I went to install the VS11+ upgrade onto a new box and it's bitching to me about a serial number when I run the UVS11PLUS_E.EXE file? I installed the origional version I had which was 4 and thought that VS11+ would pick that up. Do I need to install the upgrades for 7 and 9 before I can do 11? Couldn't remember having to put in a serial number when installing on the last machine.......what serial number would it be looking for? Can I put in the S/N running on the other box at present? Oh, 1 other question, I'm running them from an external drive that I have all my downloads and files located in. Should I be copying these files to the C: before running them?

Ok, JFYI I put in the serial number living on the box that has it installed right now and it bitched at me saying that I could only upgrade from V 7, 9, 10 etc. but not 4 so I'm going to install V9 and try again.

But JFYI, after repeated attempts to install these executables and getting a "Fatal Error Message" I went to the download section and downloaded and installed the "UVS11_DMF6_HotFix01_Install_Issue.exe" patch. After that the installation seemed to go ok. So just for anyone else experiencing these same problems the patch should be installed before the rest of that list of executables. Now there was another patch that I didn't know whether I should install or not and maybe someone can elighten me. It's the "UVS11_Patch_Eng122507-03.exe" patch.......I"m guessing I need it since it was under the VS11 downloads, but some were for PLUS and some just for VS11 are they both lumped together? Anyway 1 other issue I had when trying to install the upgrade to VS11Plus was that it was looking for a Serial Number during the installtion and if I wouldn't have had it installed on another machine already I would have never been able to find out what it was........Is there somewhere else this can be found since I didn't get anything with the download. P.S. Not to be bitching, but what's with the speed of this forum? This is the slowest forum from a server perspective I've been on. It takes forever to get anywhere and it looks as though it's been a problem since early this year. Is it being addressed.........
