Transitions between photos
Ive read on the forum that people use UVS to do photo slideshows, i thought i would give it a go ( i normaly use Magix for this) My question is can i put transitions in between all the photos in one go (if i use the same transition ie crossfade) or do i have to put each one in one at a time ?
Im useing UVS 11.5plus
Thanks
Pete

Yes as a matter of fact you can, in couple of ways.
1. Go to File Menu>Preferences, or use the keyboard shortcut of F6. Then on the Edit Tab, you can set what the Default Transition will be, and the duration. So whenever you insert more than 1 image, video clip, your selected Default transition will automatically be inserted between them.
2. If you have already inserted your photos, go to the Transition Library of your choosing. Select your transition, then either press the 2nd from the Right icon (looks like an A and B together), or right-click on the transition you wish to use, and select Apply current effect to whole project.

Hi Pete
Some tips:-
From the Burner Module press the ¡¥Options Cogwheel¡¦ lower left.
The Navigation controls panel allows you to customise how the DVD reacts to the menu.
(continue to play next clip will play all and return to menu at end.)
From the ¡¥Edit¡¦ tab
Customise will allow you to select more thumbnails/links per menu page.
This option depends on which template you have selected from the ¡¥Gallery¡¦
For instance using Thumbnail Menu¡¦s¡¦ you can have 8 per page.

Hi Pete
I do not understand why you are having this problem. But adding a project (a VSP) to the burner stage can and has caused problems in the past. The program has to render the projects prior to burning.
If you were to render your slide show projects to a new video file there would be no render in the burner stage.
OK
Open each project in turn, Share Create Video File, choose the Pal--DVD option.
This will render the project to a new video file. (mpeg2) Repeat for each project.
Now start a NEW project, The timelines are empty---- Share Create Disc---Add Video files (left icon). (Browse the pc for your new video files created above.)
Complete the menu structure.
When you press the ¡¥Burn¡¦ button the blue progress bar should first show Create Menu.
You could choose to create a DVD Folder instead of burning a disc, this will save a TS Folder to your pc. The content being the same as the disc.
I use Power DVD Player to play the TS folder, checking its function and quality.
Saves you a disc.
Alternatively use a DVD-RW
Hope this Helps
