Audio Format Mismatch?

It's been a while since I've made a video so maybe I'm just a little rusty-
I'm on VS 11 Plus and I'm trying to upload an mp3 but it always says "Unable to open file [insert file name here.mp3]. File format mismatch." Just wanting to know if anyone knows how to resolve this issue. Thanks.

Video Studio, regardless of the version, does not like mp3 produced by certain mp3 codecs -- the LameMP3 one in particular. We usually suggest you use an audio editor to convert it to standard .wav format and use that instead.
