VS Pro X2 not seeing video file when creating disc

Post by Peta »

I have upgraded from VS11 to VS Pro X2 and everything is working ok EXCEPT when I get to the 'create disc' part, I select 'DVD' then I go to add video (top left +video) and the video shows in the lower section (below 'Use first clip etc") but not in the larger preview screen top right of the interface. The video controls are greyed out and If I go to the next step to select a menu and hit 'preview' there is nothing there to be previewed !

I asked the guy doing a Corel demo in Sydney last Tuesday night about this and he was baffled.

Has anyone else had this happen to them? Is there something I can do to make it see the video? I have taken a screenshot if someone wants to see that and tells me how to put it up to be viewed.

My work around at the moment is to go back to VS11 and create disc and burn there where it works perfectly. :(

I had the same problem, and I think the fix is to install the latest version of DirectX (go figure). There are a few threads here about this.
