PI X3 and MFC42.dll

Post by goldwyn98 »

I have posted before in relation to this problem, but nothing works. I determined the version of MFC42.dll that is required to run PI X3. I put it into the system 32 folder and reboot. The program works fine for awhile, then it stalls during loading at U32JPG.fio. At that point I have to delete the MFC42.dll file from system 32 and reinstall it again. Sometimes this works, other times it doesn't. I'm afraid to shut down the program as I did the other day. Now it is back to freezing again with the same error message. I like the program when it works but I'm about to quit it.

I think by the fact you've deleted the .dll you could have corrupted the program.

Either uninstall/reinstall or do a system restore to the date/time prior to your PI install.

Clean up your PC/registry and reinstall PI.

I don't know how computer literate you are but this similar reply might help.
