x2 ultimate and wavelab licence problem

Hi,
I just installed X2 ultimate and the wavelab that comes with it. When firing up wavelab it says I dont have a valid licence and promptly terminates. Anyone seen this?

...And be prepared for a Byzantine, labyrinthine procedure...but it works if you follow it to the letter, and I think the program itself is quite good. :lol:

Thanks for the links. and the process is indeed tortured. I would never buy a product from these people. The doco was only partially accurate and in the end the process failed.
I created an account on the stein website
I went through the product activation and entered my serial number and got an activation code.
I downloaded the license control center (having to download and install this is not mentioned anywhere in their doco)
I went through the download license wizard and entered my activation code. It then asked for my original serial number and would not let me enter it or get passed that page. So I still have an unusable product. Where do i go from here?

Sorry you are having trouble. I know I tried two or three times when I first installed it. But the only way I can think of to get sorted out would be to contact Steinberg directly... I doubt that Corel would be able to help... :cry:

Thanks Ken. I couldnt find a support link on the stein website but one of the PDFs had a support email address so I sent them all the info and we'll see what happens.
