ProX2 - Getting Overlay Track frames to grow and shrink

Post by WestbrookNH »

Hi, Gang.

I see overlay track options for exit and entry directions, and for fade in and fade out, but what I don't see are options for the overlay image's frame to "grow" or "shrink" with time.

Am I missing something?

Also, it would be nice if you could set the frame size with a number without using the tag-and-drag handles.

No you aren't missing anything. We've asked for that feature for a while now, but it has yet to be added. It's called a moving path. Other apps have it, but not VS. :(

Check the Tutorials (link below my signature) for workarounds like this one: http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?t=27348

Hi

Some options.

1 / Try the ¡¥Cropping¡¦ filter from the Video filter library
2 / Right click the clip in the preview screen for additional options.
3 / Right click a clip in the timeline and select Copy Attributes, Paste to other clips in the overlay tracks. (useful when you require same sizes / effects) (unfortunately, doesn¡¦t copy the filter, but will copy size.)

There are no options to set numerical sizes

I don't know if this is similar to the one by Black lab or not, It was something I wrote a couple of years ago.

Wow, you guys are GREAT!

Though I haven't had an opportunity to try it yet, it seems like laurente and vidoman have the workaround that will do what I'm looking for.

I'll let you all know when I get an opportunity.

Probably won't be until Friday night. I have a day job and 9 children at home, so spare time is very spare.
