Edited video quality is surprisingly poor for 100% quality

Post by nb51 »

On the new machine I installed it on, the quality of video I've edited with Ulead VideoStudio 11.5 Plus has become surprisingly poor. The project and output settings are DVD wide-screen, 100% quality, bitrate 8000, but the resulting video output is of surprisingly poor quality, visibly much poorer (fuzzier) than the original source.

What can I do to improve the output quality?

Instead of entering into a guessing game, would you care to tell us what the original video's format was and, if possible, right click on one of those original clips within Video Studio, and copy ALL its properties here please. Could you also tell us what editing you did to it. Moreover, when you talk about output, are you making a video file (Share > Create Video File) or actually burning a disc (Share > Create Disc)?

What player did you use to compaire? Same for both?
What display and connection did you use. Same for both?
How did you bring the original into the computer?
