Chapters

Post by AZTEC »

Hello

I am using VS11.5 and for the first time I am try to put in Chapters.

I just can`t make them work or gain anything from the help info. I have put chapter markers on the timeline at about 15 mins interval but when I get to the menu, I just can`t load a menu with the option to select these chapters. I`m sure I am missing something but have been looking for days..

Kind Regards

Hi Aztec.

I'm sorry to disapoint you, but this is not an answer to your question.

But I am havig the exact same problem???

I have made a few projects now, and added chapters to them as well.
BUT when I try to make a DVD-from them, I am unable to make the chapters work on the DVD.
If I use "auto detect" chapters, the program sets a chapter for every little film sequence. But that is not the intention. Some of the film sequences are together and should not be devided by chapters. But the "auto detect" botton is the only one that is highlighted, and there by the only one I can use.

Can anybody share some light on this?

Hi

The Main menu and Chapter menu use separate pages.

You can access the Chapter page by clicking the down arrow below the preview screen narked ¡¥Currently displayed menu¡¦

At least that¡¦s where it is for VS 10

Hi Settemand DK

Not sure what you are missing here.

The first create disc page shows the Add/Edit Chapter icon, the Create menu should be checked.

Add a video file to the timeline and the Add/Edit Chapter icon becomes available.
Selecting the icon opens a new window.

Move the curser under the preview from frame zero and the Add Chapter becomes available.
Click Add Chapters
Move again to add another chapter point.

Do you get that far-------Does that work

Make sure you have manually updated to the latest Microsoft DirectX. That has solved many preview problems, including those involving chapters.

Thanks Trevor

What I was missing was -

Move the curser under the preview from frame zero and the Add Chapter becomes available.
Click Add Chapters ]

I thought that the add chapters should be available and not 'greyed out'.

Never entered my head to move the cursor although I must have done everything else.

Thanks again

Kind Regards
