Problem downloading COOL3dPS components

Post by liamkennedy »

Over the weekend and into today I have been unable to download components from http://www.ulead.com/c3ds/esd.htm

Is it just me... or is their site down for downloads?

I have send a message to their system administrator...

Thanks

There does seem to be a problem with that. Due to some other issues, such as no longer being able to access the Downloads page for the Documents, I'd guess that Corel is slowly taking down the old Ulead web site.

Currently I don't have the time to get those files uploaded to a server. :( However when I can, I will attempt to do so, and provide a download link. So if you can tolerate some delay, (speaking of at least 24 hrs), I can get them to you..

I can definitely wait for 24 hours. That is very great you will do that. Thank you.

Then... once I have downloaded all the components I will be making several backups to CD-ROM's so I can be assured I won't be in the same place again.

One question I have (more rhetorical than anything).. is how can Ulead / Corel still sell the product if the download pages are not going to work?

They, and anyone else for that matter, can sell their programs that way, until they realize the customers are not getting the products. That takes the customers complaining.

Shortly after Corel purchased Intervideo (which had just purchased Ulead), Corel stated that they were going to shutdown all the Ulead servers over the course of about a year or so. I think this is what's happening, and their web-team is not keeping up with this...

Thank you so much for doing this. I have downloaded them.

ULEAD's download links are now working in any case.
