Anyway to combine VSP projects in X2?

Is there a way to combine separate VSP projects into one project in VS X2. In a related question, is there a way to make a multi-level menu DVD without having to include separate VSP files? Currently, the only way I could find to get a top level menu with chapters was to create separate VSP files and include them when creating the DVD.
Thanks,
Rich

There are 2 ways you can combine separate VSPs into 1 project. You can insert the actual VSPs into the timeline, or your could render each VSP into a video file before inserting them into the timeline.
And yes, to have a top level menu with sub-menus you have to have separate Titles (video files).

Thanks. I don't want to render them into separate video files because then I lose the ablility to edit them with all the elements that I used to create them.
What I really want is to have one project, but have sub-menus. I was hoping this changed from VS11 to X2, but I guess not. This would be a wish list item

Once you insert a VSP into a new project (called nesting) it is handled just like a video file and you will not be able to edit the individual elements. So either way is basically the same. The only difference is you can go back and edit the original VSP, but then you would have to re-link it in the nested project.

Oh. So how do I re-link it in the nested project? Do I have to delete it from the project and re-add it or will just opening up the project and regenerating the video automatically re-link it?
Thanks,
Rich

When you open the project that contains the edited VSP you will get a re-link message, just as you would if you had changed the location of any clip. You simply have to point VS to where the new (re-edited) VSP resides.
