Pro X2 - Multiple AVCHD Problems - Does Corel Know?

There have been several recent threads about AVCHD problems with Pro X2. Most of the theads end with no resolution and the suspicion that Pro X2 is not handling AVCHD properly. (To be fair, probably no NLE is handling this difficult-to-edit format perfectly).
My question is: is Corel aware of all of these problems? Is everyone reporting problems to Corel, or are most only reporting them in this forum? (I have reported some to Corel, but generally get responses from them that don't solve the problem.)
The only thing I have read about them working on improvements for AVCHD is a PC Magazine review that said Corel was working to improve the choppy preview. I'd like to know which other problems they are aware of and plan to fix. They may very well be working on some of them, but we have no way of knowing.

I think you answered your own question. No one here is provided with any info on what Corel may or may not be working on.

Ditto. Not even us Site Admin or Moderator people...
Back in the old Ulead days, when they were developing a new release of a product, they used to use volunteers from this forum as beta testers. That of course meant that a lot of the problems were identified and ironed out before the formal release of the product. But that has not occurred now since first InterVideo and then Corel, took over. In essence, that makes us all beta testers of the newer versions...

I guess I don't mind being, in essence, a beta tester as long as the bugs get fixed sometime in the not too distant future. By "not too distant future" I mean a patch to the current version rather than in VS 13... or 14.
I just hope everyone who encounters these AVCHD problems is reporting them to Corel. If we don't, Corel won't be very motivated to prioritize them high enough to assign their limited resources to work on them.

The squeaky wheel gets the grease! Please, the more that complain about problems the more Corel has to take notice (I would hope

)

I thought our japanese friends were beta testing the product considering they have been using VSx2 for months before we got to

I think it would also be useful if people would post the response that they get from Corel, or a summary of it, so we all know what they are saying about the problems.

I wrote an e-mail to corel support:
...
As input I am using AVCHD files. When I set the output same as input - AVCHD - the generated file is wrong. When I have SmartRender enabled, the generated AVCHD is very bad - when I played it using the WinDVD and/or some other players, every of them crashed after they played the first part of generated AVCHD video at position where titles ended. Without SmartRender there is some flickering at this place but the other parts of generated video is played along.
Please for patch.

There is only one part in the Corel reply received by SPSP1 which is interesting: Because they refer to this forum, they know (read) what kind of problems the different users have...but apparently they are unable to solve them...

So hopefully that Customer Service rep has notified the development team of the problem.

On the next question they answered that there is an August DirectX update for better VideoStudio Preview...
I have written two other questions. We will see tomorrow.
