I am using PSPX2 to create pages for a family history book. I plan to have it produced at MyPublisher.com. I have used their service in the past and have been very pleased with the quality. I like their vintage style but find it limited. Therefore I want to create each page in PSPX2 so I have control over the placement of pictures and text.
Does anyone know where I can find picture frames that resemble the old cardboard frames that were used in the early 1900's.
I attempted to make my own frame from the template that is supplied with MyPublisher and was somewhat successful. However, I don't know how to make the frame so it will adjust to the size of the photo I am trying to frame. I used the "export" feature of PSP but the result does not work like the frames supplied with the software.
Any help is apprecieated.
Vintage picture frames such as cardboard

If you go to the menubar and select Image->Picture Frame there should be a copy of such a picture frame for you to use. At least old 1900's photo edges can be seen and used in the Time Machine effect. Effects -> photo effects -> time machine.
Using these options, the frames are adjusted to the size of the photo. But the whole photo so if you're doing like a collage on one photo these may not work so well. But they should work on individual images.

Thanks Levi for your response. I am familiar with using the supplied frames and I agree there are some pretty cool ones for old photos such as "platinum" which has a deckle edge. "Albumen" is also nice. I have also used the photo effect which I love although I don't particularly like the frames used there because you cannot specify the color of the part surrounding the frame as you can by using Image>Picture Frame.
The type of frame I am looking for (which is not available in the ones supplied by Corel) is a cardboard frame where the picture is inserted in the cutout. Many of the old ones were interesting shapes and had embossed decorations and usually the photographer's name. Sometimes they even glued the picture to a hard piece of cardboard that was decorated or embossed.
I was hoping some PSP expert had created such frames and put them on the web for download. If anyone knows of such a site I would be grateful.
In the meantime, I am honing my skills at creating my own frames.
Thanks again.

This might seem a bit far fetched, but one suggestion would be to use google image search and/or Cooliris to locate examples that are more to your liking. If something turns up, visit the associated web page. If the desired frames are part of a private collection perhaps the proud owner could be persuaded (via email or "contact" link) to make some high res scans for you. I did a quick search using strings such as "vintage picture frames" and "cardboard picture frames" and got a fair amount promising returns. Just a thought

Thanks for the suggestion. I had Googled for Paint Shop Pro frames without much luck. I didn't think about using an image to make my own frame. I did find several that I purchased and the frames are just what I had in mind. I have completed the book and am almost ready to submit if for printing. It has been a lot of work but I think the result will be worth it.
