Video Studio x 2

Post by stuey46 »

Hi,

I am using the trial version of this program and find it just right for my needs.

However, it is beginning to jump and stutter and the sound is scratchy; it also stutters and is of poor quality. I've got 3 gig RAM and plenty processing capability. I took my computer to my usual IT lady and she assured me that my computer was up to the task.

I've disabled all the background stuff but no improvement.. Any ideas - please?

Thanks for completing your System information in your profile, however you did not indicate what Windows version. Is it XP or Vista, and if Vista is it 32 or 64 bit?

Next what sort of video files are you working with? Right-click on your video clips in either the library or timeline, select Properties and post them back here. Some of the more recent video codecs, such as AVCHD are extremely demanding on PC resources.

How well versed is your IT lady with video editing? She may be very knowledgeable with PCs and how they work, but know very little or nothing at all about NLEs....;)

I'm going to guess XP...I think Vista would be pretty slow with 1G of RAM :)

In fact, in his msg he says he has 3 GB of RAM. And if you read the System details, he does not say 1 GB but only 1M!!

But either way, we still need the extra details that Vidoman has already asked for...
