Hot wax coating

In the last couple of versions of PSP I've used, I have tried to use the 'hot wax coating' effect, which I've always loved. When I use it now, the whole image just turns black, instead of doing what it normally does. Any ideas why this happens? Thanks.

Hot Wax Coating uses your foreground/stroke color when doing the wax coating. So if your brush color is set to black, it'll make everything black.

The help files suggest it has a dialog box but I can't seem to bring it up. But yeah I think that may be your problem.
