How to crop the video size in VS X2?

Hi..new to this software and haven't play around much.

Is it possible to crop 1/4 of the video?
instead of a full size, I just want 3/4 of the size (not minimise though).

If possible, how?

if not possible, I will add in the wish list.

Not sure I understand what you're really wanting to crop. To crop the frame size, use the crop filter, found in the video filters library. Each of the crop filters are customizable using keyframes. If you're wanting to shorten the duration, you can either cut, (trim) using the scissors tool, use the multi-trim or split by scene feature.

Apologise for not making this one clear enough.

I explain again with an example and hopefully everyone can understand

Say I have a video clip with a movie of my baby on the bed.
Instead of seeing my baby on the big bed, I would like to focus on the body of my baby only and without the rest of the bed.

So I crop the rest of the bed so in the end, my movie/video that I see is the body of my baby only.

Is this do able with X2?

I think for still image it is do able but not in video/movie.

Ron, yes, that is the one croping but I would like to make it longer or entire clip for example.

It seems that after a few seconds it will go back to the original size again.

I check the customise filter but looks like it is not do able for the entire clip.

Any idea?

I also would like to remove the rest of the area that I don't want to see so the whole screen only showing the one that I specify.

Yes this is very doable, using the Customize, and Keyframes. You can set numerous keyframes along the timeline in the Customize dialog. For each keyframe, adjust the Height and Width (percent,%). You can drag the + in the left preview pane to different positions. To hold the same size over time right-click on the keyframe having the dimensions you want to hold. Go to the next position in the timeline where you want the 'hold" to stop, right-click and select Insert. This will insert a keyframe, then right-click again on that newly added keyframe, select Paste.

The best way to learn how to use keyframes to customize your filter is to play around with them. It's really amazing what you can do with them. You also need to "think out of the box", and not be afraid to be creative or use your imagination. ...
