WinDVD 9 Update Message

Post by Ken Berry »

I have successfully installed and registered WinDVD 9. It works fine. But one thing is beginning to really bug me. Each time I open it, I get a message box saying that an update is available and do I want to install it, with the option to remind me in one day or one week. Well, I have said yes to the update. But still I get the message. I have asked it to remind me in one day; and it does; or a week -- and it does, at least giving me 6 days not to have to think about it again. The really silly part is that I have had to install the update manually since it never seemed to install automatically when requested.

I have also turned off the 'check for updates' box but that does not seem to have done anything either...

Grateful for any thoughts.
