Alludo USER to USER Web Board

I am new to Video Editing and the User Manual tells a lot about the controls and everything but does not offer a plan of attack.
I am trying to edit out commercial breaks, accurately, from a VHS Tape that I have captured to my PC as a 8.55Gb mpeg file.
Would someone be kind enough to offer me a step by step procedure to get rid of the commercials accurately and to end up with a finished video that can be burned to a DVD.
I have attempted to use the AdZapper but it is not accurate.
I have tried to edit as Multi Clips but end up with only the first clip saved, even though I have used the procedure listed.

Drag the video into the timeline and scrub through it to the parts you want to cut and use the Cut Clip button (The scissors button under the video preview window) then just delete the sections of video you don't want.
Use the zoom in and zoom out slider to select the smaller clips.

Click in the timecode seconds or milliseconds and click the up and down
icons to get a more accurate cut. this allows you to move backwards and forwards through the video clip in seconds or milliseconds

For the sake of clarity, the timecode you see (00:00:00.00) represents hours, minutes, seconds, and frames, not milliseconds (HH:MM:SS.FF). That is why, for PAL, the digits following the decimal point range from 1-24 (PAL is 25 frames per second), and for NTSC range from 1-29 (29.97 fps for NTSC).
