DivX Problem with Clips

Post by Rascal »

Firstly I don't think that my problem is a problem with VS, but I am hoping that the experts here can help.
I don't use DivX Clips very often but I recently needed to include a DivX clip into a project and when I came to view the clip in the preview screen the clip played but with a green text in the top left hand corner showing:
Current Frame
CPU Load
Input Size
Output Size
I cannot find how to disable this text.
I tried playing the clip in PowerDVD and Windows Media Player the text remained, I played the clip using DivX Player and Total Video Player the text was absent. I made a DivX CD with the clip, and it played without the text on my Sony DVD player.
I have tried reverting back to a previous version of DivX, the problem remained. The trouble I have got with solving this problem is that I cannot find out when the problem first arose, I don't use DivX clips often enough.
At the moment all DivX Video clips have the same problem on my computer. Can you help me with this problem please?

I've never seen this sort of problem with DivX. What DivX version are you using? The current version is 6.8.4, and the only reported issue is that updating from an earlier version, will cause you to loose any DivX not VS templates you may have created.

You might try reinstalling DivX to see if that corrects the problem.
