Numerous Problems.. need help

Not so much problems, some questions too.

1) When I try to create chapters with any movie I import, DVD Qorkshop freezes or just crashes, either way I lose my work. I have to save about every minute to keep from losing everything. I think I installed all the patches. Any suggestions?

2) When I try to change the aspect ratio of a movie (right-click a movie -> Output Display Options) only Widescreen TV is highlighted, nothing else is. I have a standard TV but I like widescreen. When I burned it for the first time fullscreen, everything was stretched. Second attempt was I finally got it letterboxed, but the ends of the movie of the right and left sides were cut off because it wants a widescreen tv. How can I enable Standard TV?

The crashing thing isn't a big issue, just gets kind of annoying. I should save my work always anyways. The widescreen issue is my main priority. I've been poking around everywhere and I couldn't find anything. If anyone has suggestions please please reply or e-mail me at magical_juggalo@Hotmail.com .

I haven't played with widescreen, but what is shown when played on a PC? If it shows the whole pic as widescreen, then you probably need to change a setting in your dvd player.

On a PC if it's full screen it shows as full screen, if its letterbox it shows as that. On DVD Workshop when you burn it "As Is" (default setting) it basically fits the screen to whatever you play the DVD on. If it's a box TV, it shows up all distorted, if it's a widescreen TV it shows up great, but I dont have a wide screen TV, I have a 19" square TV. I read the How To files packaged with DVD Workshop and I learned all that and got it all figured out. A new problem stemmed though:

When I burned it as letterbox, I had the bars at the top and bottom of my TV but I still had like 1/6 of the movie on each side was gone. Is there anyway to change those settings??
