After Loop/Timeout button

Post by Markmen »

How do I stop a menu from activating the default highlighted button or a dummy custom button when the video or audio times out? I want the video background and audio to play then stop and wait for user input.

It doesn't seem to make any difference for the values of menu duration or loop point. If loop count is set to anything other than infinite, the default or custom button is run. I must be missing a way to do this, that is, just let the menu play once and wait for the user to click a button link. I can create a dummy custom button and point it there but that seems a bit clumsy. The documentation does not go into this in any detail or discussion, as is the case for the product in general.

I'm using the full version of ws2, all patches installed.

I don't think that it is possible to do what you wish. A menu is active only when it is running.

Clone the Menu

Clone the menu, and then make the Auto-Activate on the original menu go to the "cloned" menu -- where it doesn't have background motion or music -- and just waits for user input.
