VS10 Plus hangs during video conversion process

I click on "Burn" then the video conversion process begins. After 00:21:28, I get a message saying "Convert step got some problems" with a yellow danger triangle symbol and [257:0:0] underneath the triangle. I have tried this twice with the same results, once trying to make an ISO image and once trying to burn a DVD. I have VS10 Plus Service Pack 1 installed, and did the DirectX update recommended on this website. The computer is new, running XP Professional SP2, with T9300 processor, 4GB RAM. However I have not yet burned a VideoStudio DVD with it.

From the Corel Knowledgebase:
Details
After successfully burning discs for a number of times, I get one of the following messages now when I try to burn: "Report ID 0x800411da (4570)" or, more frequently, "Convert step got some problems (4101)." What should I do?
Answer
Instead of burning the project directly to disc, create a DVD compliant video file first and save it on your hard drive. After creating the file, create a new project and go to Share > Create Disc then insert the newly saved video file. Open the Project Settings dialog box [ Alt + J ] and select Do not convert compliant MPEG files then click OK . Burn the project to disc.
Tip : Refrain from inserting Project files onto the Timeline in Create Disc.

I reduced the variable bitrate setting to maximum of 8000kbps, instead of 9543 kbps, as analyzed by the conversion program, Super.
