VS-12 - date i filmed video appears on each clip

Post by olsonju »

I upgraded from VS 10 to VS 12. When I transferred my current project into the new program , each clip displays the date i filmed. I don't know how to remove it. Its odd because the same project in VS 10 does not display the date... can someone advise me?
thank you,

I'm making the assumption that you're using DV video, correct? If so, open the Preferences dialog (keyboard shortcut-F6 or File menu>Preferences), and look for Display DV timecode on preview window. If the box is checked, uncheck it.

This only affects preview playback, in Clip mode. The DV timecode is not burnt into the video itself when rendered.

Did you try turning off the time/date from the menu on your camcorder?
