Hello All, How is everyone?
This is my 1st ever post, so I hope you'll be very helpful & kind.
Just finished my project and rendering is all underway, then right at the end I get an error message 'Some chapter entry frame numbers exceed the total frames' [533:- 2147216477:0]
Any help or advice will be gratefully received.

Just guessing here as I have never seen reports of this error before. Is it possible you have some chapter points from added when at some stage your project was longer?

To check, examine the chapter point manager for any lingering chapter points beyond the end of your project.

This often occurs when you have created chapter points and then have a preview range selected which is shorter than the entire length of the video.

Try following the recommended procedure of creating a video file first and then starting a new project, go to the [Share] tab and select [Create Disc] and then import that previously rendered video file.

Hi, Thanks for your recommendations, will give it a go, I've filmed a wedding for my sister which needs to go on 2 discs, the 1st disc was 1hour long (rendered & burnt ok), 2nd disc is 1hour 30mins long, is the length a concern? Also i've notice i've ticked two-pass conversion on the 2nd disc, would this cause a problem?
I've deleted and re-inserted all chapter points, none are outside the project length.
Will create video file first and see what happens, many thanks again tho for all your help.

I am just wondering if you inserted the chapter points in the whole original project *before* you split it in two (at least that is what I am assuming was your general work flow)? If so, it could be that when you split it, the cut came between two chapter points which had recorded different data for the length of the chapter before or after... And that could possibly give such a message as well.

The two pass conversion should not have caused any problem -- depending on what the format of the video was. You have never told us that. If it was standard definition DVD-compatible mpeg-2, then that would not have caused any problem at all -- just improved the quality a little, which is what it is designed to do. If however, you were rendering high definition mpeg-2 or mpeg-4, we generally don't recommend using either SmartRender or two pass encode.

As for the length of the second project, it could be a problem depending on what your project properties are or what you set as the burn properties. If, for instance, you have set the properties of your original project to high quality settings, including a bitrate of 8000 kbps, then that confirms you would not have had any problem burning the first part to one single DVD. With 8000 kbps and either Dolby or mpeg layer 2 audio AND two pass encode, you would have been able to burn around 70 minutes of video to a single layer DVD.

But not 90 minutes which is the length of your second part. To do that, you would need to drop the bitrate to around 7000 or maybe even slightly less. But the quality still should be very good using that bitrate...

Thanks for your reply, to confirm they always have been 2 seperate projects, and I'm outputing to Mpeg (used DVD camcorder - to output to normal 4.7gb dvd)
How do I change the bitrate?
Also Mpeg optimizer, do I need to use this?
