I'm running Windows XP, SP2.
DVD Movie Factory 2.10.214.0100 SE
I get the following error when attempting to burn a .mpg to DVD.
Cannot Open File 93006:1:0
I've tied several times and tried rebooting, still get same error. Thanks.

There is probably something "wrong" with your ".MPG" file, or simply something about it that Movie Factory can't handle. I assume this file plays OK with Windows Media Player? Your file might be MPEG-4... I don't know if Movie Factory 2* supports MPEG-4. (?)
Whatever the problem or format, you can try using SUPER (FREE!!!) to convert your files to DVD compatible MPEG-2. You can look at one of the Movie Factory Project-Templates to find the settings (resolution, framerate, bitrate, etc) for a DVD compatible MPEG-2 file.
Can you tell us anything about the file? Where did it come from? Do you know the format details? What's the playing-time an file size? ...Highly compressed formats (MPEG-4, DivX, etc.) that you might download from the Net, or video that comes from "still" cameras (that optionally shoot video) tend to cause lots of trouble when you try to edit or convert them.
* Just in case you don't already know this, MF2 is rather old and the SE versions are limited-feature "free" versions that come with hardware.

I got it with DVDXpress a few years ago. The file was created using DVDXpress importing from a Sony Hi8 camcorder. File size is 3.56GB. Type is MPEG-2 Video, Field B. It does play fine in Windows media player.

In theory, MPEG-2 should work. But, there is something about your file that Movie Factory doesn't "like". (We'll probably never know what the problem is...)
I'd still try re-coding it with SUPER. (In general, you should avoid re-encoding or transcoding a file with lossy compression... But, sometimes you don't have a choice.)
Or, you could try downloading the trial version of Movie Factory 6 and/or you can try-out the competition.
