Windvd Creator 2 Black preview screen problem

Hello, I'm having a similar problem to what Shard is having. When i view TV the preview looks great, but when i hit the record button, the screen darkens and it's hard to see any picture, also, I cannot click other buttons apart from the stop record button. However, the finished .mpeg file that is created after recording is perfect, it's just hard to view anything while in the preview screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm racking my brain to figure this out!
