I have PI11 on my system, have used it some, but kind of complicated and still working with it. I recently upgraded from VS10+ to VSx2 and I am quite happy with those version improvements. I would like some objective PI folks to advise me if they have been satisfied with the move from PI11 or PI12 to the latest Corel x3 version of this photo software. I value the experience and candor of the participants here.
Thanks!
Objective advice needed on possible upgrade to x3

Wow.thanks for the reply.
I have heard some lament the loss of Gif Animator. I just did not want to lose some good functionality if I upgraded to x3.

You can keep the GifAnimator from version PI 11 running. As a matter of fact you can keep PI 11 and X3 run side by side.
If you want to uninstall PI 11 but keep the Animator, proceed as follows:
Look in your PI files area. You will see a folder called anygif. That's the folder where the Gif Animator program is stored.
Copy this entire folder to another location on your hard drive and rename it to Gif Animator. This folder contains the complete animation program. You might even want to burn it to a CD for safe keeping in case you need to re-install your programs after a crash.
You'll only need to copy that folder back to your computer and your animator will work. It does not need to be installed and it does not need PhotoImpact.
Have fun.
