Ulead Chroma Cloth...

Post by Ray Musicbear »

Hi,

I just purchased and received the Ulead Blue Screen Chroma Cloth.

The cloth was folded, and has some pretty severe creases in it.
Do you think it is necessary to press the creases out of the cloth,
or will they not effect the overall video in the chroma key process?

I mean, do I have to iron this thing??? :)

Yes, I would.

I'm assuming that the material is washable (there are certain chroma cloths I wouldn't try this with, but they also don't come with these bad wrinkles/creases). You might also want to wash it, including using fabric softener, and then spin it dry. That should take out some of the severe creases from it being folded and shipped. Even after that it still might need some ironing or steaming (hang it up and run a steamer over it).

I'm going to try to contact Ulead and see if they have some
"care" instructions for it...
