I must say that the latest version of Video Studio, version X2 pro is the most stable and user friendly version yet produced.
I have used VS for a number of years and I am highly delighted with this excellent version.
Everything I do works perfectly, and I would like to congratulate Corel for the improvements they have made to Video Studio.
Thanks to all the team and to the highly valuable advice given to us users by this forum.
Rereading this post, I sound like a fan-boy or an employee, but I can assure you I am neither, just a very satisfied customer, who wants to give thanks and appreciation where it is due.
Now just watch how things go wrong for me!

I wreckon that. VS12 is a joy to use. And in the past I already have been pleased with the Ulead products. It seems even that it works faster but may be my imagination.

The "Album Transitions" DEFINITELY work faster.

In my observation also it (a) opens a good deal faster than its predecessors; and (b) with high definition video, both HDV and AVCHD, it 'recognises' them about 3 times more quickly and allows them immediately to be dragged to the timeline. Both of these factors alone make it (almost) worthwhile for me to make the upgrade -- but there are lots of other things besides which *definitely* makes the upgrade worthwhile.

I am still annoyed that they have not worked out how to capture direct from a Digital 8 camera playing analogue tape, or how to export back to a HDV camera when VS10 could do so. But at least I am among the lucky ones who have a workaround for those...

No it's a good upgrade and very much worth the price!
