Using MovieFactory 4 and the Multi-trim feature the last video I tried had
audio sync problems multi-triming a mpg2 video file.

Performing the same Multi-Triming with VideoStudio 9 didn't give me the
audio problem provided I don't click on tthat icon I'm talking about.
It's about 2/3 up and on the left of the screen.
The icon reverses the selection from whether to keep or cut the selection.
The default is set to keep the selected areas.
Works for me to keep the default setting and never toggle that icon.

Hope this helps,

MD

I now know which one you're talking about and I never change it. I just use "keep" all the time, but still having the problems.

audio issues

I found it happen on all version of MF 2-4. My resolution was to edit the video with a software app called. Videoredo. (Videoredo.com) It's cuts and authors audio perfectly. I then opened in MF4 and "tweaked" it more in MF4.
Problem solved. Download the trial to see if it will work for you

keyboard, thanks, hopefully ulead should become embarassed and fix the problem so we don't have to spend more money on other programs to fix ulead problems. (Then some wonder on the other threads why some of us complain about ulead!) My comments not intended to disrespect you though Keyboard, thanks for the help.

I'm having the same problem with MF3. Very annoying. I'm not even capturing video. I'm trying to burn AVIs previously created (with Ulead and with other software) to disc. But the lag between the audio and the video is horrible.

I tried downloading the MF4 trial version, to see if it's any better. I still don't know. It's really, really slow. The 45 minutes of video that MF2 burned in an hour or so is taking days for MF4. It's been 24 hours already, and I'm only at 64%. Clearly, MF4 is too slow to be usable.

I'm really disappointed. I love Ulead's software usually, but MF is just unacceptable.

Audio sync problem in DMF 4

Post by rws »

After a lot of wasted time and frustration trying to find workarounds for the audio sync problem in MF3 and MF4, I'm ready to pull the plug on those products. So, can anyone point me at a resonably priced DVD authoring/burning package that's not from Ulead? I don't need editing capability, as VideoReDo works just fine for my needs.

I think I have resolved my problems by using Nero Vision Express. Cutting and trimming seems more cumbersome, but so far I have made one movie with about ten splits in it and the audio and video are both in sync. It seems faster also.
