Video Studio X2 No Color Correction On Images

Post by Nunk »

Hi All

I just upgraded to Video Studio X2 and i don't seem to be able to use color correction on images anymore. If this is the case it seems we have lost some functionality on upgrading.

I used to use color correction for my lower 3rds so i could have the same lower 3rd in many colors on the overlay track, What a shame if i cant do that anymore.

Sayang, naman!

Which colour correction filter were you used to using? I just checked my VS12, inserted one of the sample images in the timeline, then selected Filters > All, and found I could choose Color Balance or Color Shift, both of which I would think could do what you are after. Ang ganda!

Kamusta :D

I know you can change the color by using the color filter but I used to be able to change color by selecting the Image Tab and then clicking the color correction icon.

I notice i can use color correction for Jpeg but PNG no longer works under Video Studio X2 but works on Video Studio 11.5.

I used the color correction on the image tab because i had more options and better control over my final color output, off my lower 3rds.

Mabuti! Ikaw na rin?

When I open VS12 and insert an image, the color correct button is there large as life, almost in the dead centre of screen -- and it works!

Opo! I just put in a .png and the Color Correction is still there, active, and works... Is there anything 'special' about your PNG files that might make a difference?

Hi Ken

I made my lower 3ds using photo impact 12 its 24 bit color 72 dpi not sure why they don't work because they work in VS 11.5. Hmm.

I wish Corel would build in a migration tool for people who are upgrading to a new version so we don have configure our new software each time.

Tried to copy over my .dat files and it did not work so i have to make all my own preset and mattes Titles again!!!

Never mind Video Studio X2 is so much better and faster to it works great on my quad core pc.
