Recenetly dowloaded VS9 free trial. Open a file created in VS8. I can preview clips with no propblem. When I go to preview the project it hour glasses and then crashes. I get the Sorry for the inconvience / send don't send box and then it shuts VS90 down. Same thing happens when I try to burn a dvd. I seem to be able to successfully open files created in VS 5SE, but they are also much shoter / smaller files. Tried ulead support with no luck. Help!

Opposite Problem
This is strange. I have the opposite problem. I can preview the project but if I try to preview a clip I get the "ET Phone Home" message. Not exactly a good first impression of the trial version. I'm so tired of paying my hard earned money for buggy software. They will have to prove this one better than this before I pay for it. Not exactly a good first impression.

Thought it was just my pc.
Mine crashes:-
1/ As soon as I hit change capture plug-in from Tools,
2/ When I select capture video from the capture tab.
I have managed to capture but now It crashes every time.
I downloaded from ulead.com, The version appears to be for the U.S. as all the templates in Create Video File are NTSC. (yes I did install as PAL).
When the trial comes available from ulead .co.uk I will try that. Cannot see that it will be different!
