Since we have no idea what you have installed, and you give no other information, it is almost impossible to answer sensibly. However, if you have downloaded the trial version, I believe that is the Pro version and is fully functional as such, though it's lacking a wide variety of things like templates etc.
If it is showing Pro in the name somewhere along the line of starting up, then clearly it is Pro. The vanilla version 'X2' will not show 'Pro".
To further confuse you, X2 Pro and X2 Ultimate have the identical Pro version of the Pro program -- the only difference is the third party programs that come with the package.
As for whether it is worth upgrading, only you can make your mind up about that. If you read all the threads here for the past two weeks, you will see a lot of people are very happy with X2 and think it is well worth the upgrade. But others have some problems, and others just say it is not worth upgrading. But that all depends what sort of editing you do, whether you are into high definition video or are likely to be so involved in the near future; whether you use a lot of overlay tracks and always wanted to be able to insert transitions in the overlays etc. Then you are likely to appreciate X2 Pro. But if you just do fairly ordinary edits, don't use overlays, and just want to burn standard definition DVDs, then no it is probably not worth upgrading.
But if you have indeed installed the trial version, that is what it is for! For you to play around with and see whether *you* think it suits your needs!
