Hi

I have just started editing MTV style weddings and i would like a full definition of what MTV editing is. Please be detailed and also tell me the difference between Full and semi MTV styles.

The reason i ask the question is there seems to be a lot of confusion of what MTV editing really is.

To me, MTV-style editing is using fast cuts to the beat of the music, with plenty of camera movement (limited tripod usage), and different angles. Pretty much do a 180 from traditional editing.

Interesting concept for weddings.

... That the fast bits where the couple are kissing and the fast fade to the parents frowning!!! Boom-dah-dah-boom!!! Dahil sa isang bulaklak, sumilang ang pag-ibig...! (Old Tagalog love song: Because of a flower, love grows...) But that is from an older, slower, less MTV time!
