I would appreciate it if somebody would tell me what I am doing wrong:
1. I open new project.
2. I pick the movie with the logo circling the world, the one that is like the Universal opening..I drag it to the project window.
3. I select the text and modify it..it shows my new logo circling the world.
4. I set the time on the timeline.
5. I pick export as avi file and make my choices.
6. I click on save
7. It starts to render.
When it finishes the render the picture is no longer in the project window which is blank and the finished redered avi file is nowhere on my computer.
Please advise and thank you.
AHHH-Renders to a Black Hole!
I've had that happen to me also. Since my renders took quite some time to complete, I would leave the computer unattended and let it do its thing, but when I came back, the project window was blank (all white) and there was not .avi file to be found.
The only thing I could figure was that I had my system setup to bring up the screen saver after 15 minutes of inactivity and turn the monitor and hard drives off after an hour. I disabled the screen saver and set it to never turn off the monitor and hard drives. After that, all my renders have completed without a problem.
I don't know if this applies to your situation, but that was my experience.
