Dazzle DVC 100 and audio problems
I am using the trial version of Movie Factory 6 Plus. I am trying to capture video from my VCR to the computer. I am using a Dazzle DVC 100 capture device. There is no audio in both the direct to DVD and when capturing for editing. When I hit TV Manager for Audio Source there is no choice listed. I get the video just fine but not the audio. I am using both Pinnacle Studio and Roxio for capture and they do fine. But I was curious in trying out the Movie Factory for Direct to DVD since it has some features that Studio does not and Roxio cannot be used with the Dazzle DVC100 for Plug & Burn. I am using Windows Vista on a Fujitsu laptop. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Welcome to the forums,
I think that you will find the Dazzle capture devices are proprietary to Pinnacle Studio, since they are made by them. That's why you also have the problem with Roxio.
A long standing recommendation of this web board is to use the capture software that comes with the capture device, if VS or DVD MF is having problems with it. I know this eliminates the Direct to DVD feature, however this is Pinnacle's doings. They do not share their programming/design secrets for their capture devices, making it next to impossible for Corel/Ulead to write code for them.
Just my opinion, I used to have a Dazzle device, and did finally manage a good use for it, called the trash can...

Many of the new capture drivers require you to find the setting:
"Use PCI Audio Bus" or similar wording.
See if you can find that setting. I had to use it for my one of my older ATI capture boards. Usually I would select the audio input, with the newer drivers I had to select the "Use PCI Bus" or something worded similar to that.
