I am trying to install the trial version of VS Pro X2 but after installation when I try to run it I get an error message saying the prog has caused an error and do I want to report the fault to Microsoft.
I have tried uninstalling both manually and automatically several times but still get the same error.
I am using Win XP Pro SP 3, with 1 Gb memory and an NVIDIA GeForce pcx5300.
Can anyone advise.
Thanks

It's possible you could have a corrupt download. Have you tried to download again?

Hmmm...try this.
In Windows go to "Start"/"Run" and type in msconfig then click "Ok."
Under the "General Tab"select "Selective Start up."
Make sure everything is checked except for "Load Start up Items."
Reboot and try to reinstall.
If you are successful (that makes me a hero) don't forget to go back into that same dialogue box and change it back to "Normal Start up."
If you are unsuccessful (that makes me an idiot) also go back and change back to original. Reboot.
