Importing components into C3D 2.5

Post by Gardner »

Hi, I have had v 2.5 for many years & just starting to get back into it. I have been downloading goodies from the ulead site for the gallery etc. however somethings I can't import. ie Lightning (the one I want most) I'm guessing I need a later version. if so can I upgrade to the latest release? what is the best path. thanks.

Welcome to the forums,

Wow that is an older version :o . I don't know if you're aware, but Ulead no longer exists. It was purchased by Intervideo, and Corel purchased Intervideo a short time later. Since then Corel has discontinued many of the former Ulead products, Ulead Cool 3D, and Cool 3D Production Studio being among those.

If you plan on running the program on Vista, I would say you're best path would be to upgrade to Cool 3D Production Studio. Even though it is not Vista compatible, it seems to run on Vista under XP compatibility mode, better than the other Cool 3D programs.
