Roman Numerals :!:

X = 10

VideoStudio X2 IS VideoStudio 12.
It comes in two forms
Standard (1 overlay track)
Pro (6 overlay tracks)

You may see VideoStudio X2 Ultimate. This is in fact X2 Pro but has some extra software bundled with it including WinDVD 9 (Blue Ray Version) and Steinberg Audio Editor 6 LE.

Why are they only putting 1 overtrack in? as with my version 10 i have 6 tracks.
I will be better off buying the pro version then?

Then you version 10 must be 10 PLUS... Just as VS11 had only one overlay track, but 11 PLUS had 6.

X = 10

X (10) + 2 = X2 (12)

I see no mention of that in the Features, unless you are talking about the
New! Paint, draw, or write freehand on video with the new Painting Creator ¡V for example, trace your vacation routes on a map

In fact the numeration using X and an Arabic number is an 'old' Corel ploy. When they brought out their thirteenth iteration of Corel Draw, they were worried that in some parts of the world, that number connotes bad luck so they wanted some alternative which would avoid that and at the same time look catchy, so they came up with Draw X3. It's now in version X4....

My own view is that they should simply have let triskaidekaphobia have its day, and called it Draw 13 and now 14. But I suspect they would have thought that XIII and XIV would have mystified many who knew nothing about Roman numbers, and to those that *did*, it might have looked a bit old fashioned, which is not what they would have wanted for a brand new version...

Ken,
I have not heard that word since my father passed away a few years ago
triskaidekaphobia (irrational fear of the number 13) or as we remember
paraskevidekatriaphobia thefear of friday the 13th:)OR somthing similar,

This now does make more sense,it was more of a query than a issue,
but certainley explains alot.
