I've used MF6+ for making HD DVDs with NO need to render a timeline with single .m2v and .ac3.
.m2v file is 1920x1080, 60i, 30Mbps maximum. The OUTPUT is set to the same.
Now I am trying to burn a BD -- a real BD.
If I add an .m2v -- when I go to BURN it immediately starts A/V muxing -- as it should.
If I then add an .ac3 file "under" the .m2v -- when I go to BURN it immediately starts encoding the VIDEO!
1) Do not re-render compliant -- checked.
2) X-DISC -- checked.
Can't understand how the .m2v can be compliant without .ac3, but non-compliant with an .ac3! Any ideas?
HELP -- compliant .m2v (with .ac3) always re-rendered for BD

Thank you,

From my experience, MF6+ will always re-ecode if you are adding an audio file seperately to a video in MF6+, even if both are compliant to the output settings and if the "do not convert..."-box is checked. This means that you should always mux audio and video together into one single container-file before uploading it into MF6+.
Fortunately, the audio format must not be compliant, so you can use whatever audio format is available: If for instance a MP3-audio is muxed with a compliant MPEG2-video like yours, MF6+ should only convert the audio during the burning process, but it will NOT re-encode the video !

I have the same issue when burning blu ray.
What you need to do is download TSmuxeR and import the M2v and Ac3 to it. Mux it over to a M2TS. It takes about 15 minutes or so to mux the audio/video
Then import this to M2TS to MF6 and it will not rencode.
