Import .gif Files into Cool 3D Production Studio?

Can a .gif image be imported or opened in Cool 3D Production Studio AS IS (with original colors and movement)? I have several .gif files that I would like to be able to open up in C3D in order to render them as 32 bit alpha channel files so that I can use them in Video Studio 9 as overlays. I would like to use the .gif files as is (same colors, movement, etc).

nope. only line art such as adobe illustrator projects. it would be nice to import a picture and render out a 32 bit alpha channel.
