Upgrade advice would be appreciated on PI11 upgrade to x3

Post by tommytucker »

Using VS10+ and PI11 and considering upgrade bundle to VSx2 and PIX3. I don't use PI11 that much actually, but was thinking of making the bundle upgrade move. I did see 'Tom's' review of x3, very thorough, and mention that some tools of PI had been left out like Gif Animator, which I have with PI11. I am sure I could be happy with VSx2 and PI11, but wanted to know from more informed PI users if they see a big need to add and lose some features in an upgrade from PI11 to PIx3. Thanks!

The versions of PhotoImpact are 2 versions apart so a bit hard to determine "What's New"
Your best bet is to download the 30 day free trial to see if there is anything in it that warrants an upgrade. If you don't use it much then you probably will find your existing version is good for a few years yet.

VideoStudio X2 is worth upgrading to.

Humm. . . This is the PhotoImpact forum, but that bundle includes Paint Shop Pro, not PI, the way I read it. In a way, that might make sense, as you would have two different Photo Editors.
