Photo Impact X3 Section Tool Issue
Photo Impact X3 Section Tool Issue
Has anyone noticed that the Standard Selection Tool in PI-X3 is harder to use then in PI-12 - What I mean is in PI-12 you can select an object with the Selection Tool very surgetically, getting very close to the edges of the object & getting the tool to surround it very precisely - Now in PI-X3 it seems I can't do that, it seems like the Curser doesn't work as precisely - what am I doing wrong? Is there an adjustment or setting? - please help - I use this Standard Selection Tool a lot & find myself going back to PI-12 - please post any response that will help - Thanx

Hi louloud,
I'm really not sure what you mean about the difference in the Standard Selection tool from version 12 to X3......I honestly haven't noticed anything different.
Standard Selection Tool is either square, rectangle, oval, or round. All you do is move the Pick tool and make a shape/selection. You can then either make the edges softer by raising the number in the Soften Selection Edge.
Make sure you don't have 'Fixed' box ticked, unless of course you wish to have a fixed size.
Are you sure you're not getting mixed up with the Lasso Tool and using Smart Lasso. This tool allows you to make a selection very close.
You may also want to try the Object>Extract Object too.
Hope this helps.

Still having problems
Hi,
I have the full downloaded version of PI X3 (not the trial version) and am having the same problem with the textures and the program telling me that I don't have the correct "content pack". I went into my program files in the Corel - X3 folder and there is nothing in the folder.
Can anyone help? Can I download a patch or something?
Thanks,
Rion
