Hi all,
I have few Christmas holiday videos taken during 2006, 2007 and 2008 of different durations.
All those have different project files ie Christams2006.vsp, Christmas 2007.vsp and Christmas 2008.vsp.
Now I wish to create a single video called Christmas.vsp and of approximate half the duration having sections from all the above videos.
All my captured files for the above 3 years are in the folder called CAPTURE\CHRISTMAS 2006.........CAPTURE\CHRISTMAS 2007 .....CAPTURE\CHRISTMAS 2008
The only way I could think is by somehow merging the project files but I don't think there are any options.
Is there anyway to achieve this or am I dreaming.

or...if your final output is a DVD, create a DVD compatable video file out of each finshed project, join the video files together in a new project.
When it comes to burning the compiled DVD ensure you select the "do not convert compatable files" so you don't end up rendering again. The above way is easier though (using the VSP files). It really depends where you are up to in each of the projects.

Hi
I would opt for rendering, Share Create Video File for each of your projects.
If your original video files are Mpegs then you should use these properties.
Check the length of the total projects to match the bit rate.
This will result in three mpeg files Christmas2006.mpg, Christmas2007.mpg, Christmas2008.mpg
Start a new project, Then Share Create Disc¡XAdd Video Files, Browse the hard drive for the new video files and insert.
For each file a link/thumbnail will be created on the main menu page.
Either way the projects have to be rendered to a mpeg file prior to burning.
